ENETIQA has been operating on the Czech market for 30 years
ENETIQA company is celebrating 30 years of operation in the Czech Republic. First appearing on the Czech market on October 6, 1993, under the name EPS ČR, it was primarily engaged in the provision of energy services. In 1999, it became part of the German energy concern MVV Energie AG. In subsequent years, the purchase of heating plants created a group of companies covered by the company title MVV Energie CZ from 2002. This group expanded over time, establishing a separate EPC division dealing with the implementation of energy-saving projects. The new owner of the group as of December 2022 is the independent European investment group Cube Infrastructure Managers based in Luxembourg, through which the company changed its name to ENETIQA a.s.
"Our company has undergone incredible development over the course of 30 years. Currently, our energy group ENETIQA is among the leading producers and distributors of thermal energy, and also one of the most important suppliers of energy-saving EPC projects. Through fifteen companies, in fiscal year 2021-2022 we produced and delivered 648,000 MWh of heat and 192,000 MWh of electricity to customers in fifteen cities. Our customers include 70,000 households and 700 companies, organizations or industrial sites. We offer interesting and stable employment to our almost 500 employees. We help municipal governments and other partners resolve the transition to modern energy sources; we work on energy projects using waste that can no longer be recycled. Our plans include photovoltaic projects, biogas stations and more. Our goal is to be a leader in the use of modern technologies and thus a long-term reliable partner for the supply of energy at affordable prices," says the chairman of the board of ENETIQA as Jörg Lüdorf.
One of the company founders is also the current director of the strategy and development department, Ing. Ivo Slavotínek: "30 years ago, I could not have imagined where the company would go. Despite becoming a significant player on the heat and electricity market, we have managed to keep our team from the beginning, providing energy services continuously since the company's foundation and expanding these services significantly in recent times. In addition, we now have a whole series of other projects ready to respond to the changes taking place in the energy market and beyond".
The group is involved in combined electricity and heat production, waste to energy, energy consultancy, water management, and the provision of electronic communications services, and is among the most important and longest-running suppliers of energy-saving projects through Energy Performance Contracting (EPC). On almost 200 objects, the EPC division has implemented or is currently implementing energy-saving measures worth more than 1.5 billion CZK. These measures bring significant savings in heat, natural gas and electricity to the owners or operators of buildings.
The long-term goal of the ENETIQA group is modern and sustainable energy. With the support of the new owner, the intention of the ENETIQA group is to further grow and expand the portfolio of services for households and companies focused on the sustainable energy solutions of the future.
